Our site in Abernethy, Perthshire is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Forklift Driver. The site is a small but efficient potato manufacturing plant, which complies with all government legislation regarding Covid-19 to keep all of our colleagues safe. We currently have an opportunity for a Machine Technician to join the team at our Prepared site, Lincoln. This role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to attend college to kick start their engineering career.
To provide front line maintenance and assistance to the machinery mainly in the High Care Area.
You will be responsible for the routine maintenance, fault-finding and hands-on repair of a variety of equipment. The objective of the role is to improve performance, maximise reliability and extend the flexibility of the machinery and equipment.
Skills and experience:
The successful candidate will be technically minded and will have experience in running machines - preferably within a chilled food manufacturing environment along with a good understanding in the principles of machinery
Keen interest in mechanics and engineering
Good level of English communication both written and verbal
Willingness to learn
Strong team player
Experience working as Machine Operator/Minder in FMCG
