Production Technician

To provide front line support to a general range of production machinery and software. The role is primarily focused on the efficient operating of machinery with high emphasis in training Machine Operators to the required level. A level of front line maintenance and PPM is also required.

Role Duties:


  • To carry out routine checks on VFFS Machines, Yamato, Multipond and Newtec multihead Weighers, ICE coders in conjunction with the Branston PPM System  
  • Creating Labels within bartender and Clarisoft printing software, and uploading to coders as required
  • To set up machine parameters to give a quality, commercially viable product run.
  • Check and carry out routine hygiene on line critical parts.
  • Liaise with maintenance for routine PPM and any other machine issues.
  • To liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure communication on all set up and operational developments.
  • To ensure that equipment within your remit is operating to standard levels.
  • Ensure that all work is accurately recorded on the Pirana CMMS system.
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by your Manager.


  • Arrange staff training in conjunction with supervisors to give a fully trained team conversant with machine set-up, test and running.
  • To deliver first contact advice on machine set-up and running issues.
  • Constantly review and retrain operators to ensure they are performing to the correct standards.
  • Carry out packaging line trials and give feedback on on-going packaging quality and issues.

Shunter Driver

Fresh potatoes, seed potatoes, processing potatoes, ready prepared potatoes… we handle around 350,000 tonnes of potatoes a year, so we like to think we know a thing or two about them!  We have three sites across the UK - in Lincoln, Scotland, and the South West. Lincoln is where it all started and it's still the largest of our sites.

We have a Shunter Driver vacancy at our Lincoln Fresh site-

As a key member of the site despatch team you will provide front line support to ensure trailers are available for loading and moved at the right times, regularly check fridge temperatures and carry out pre-start checks on all equipment used. You will be an experienced shunter driver and hold a class one driving licence.

The successful candidate will require good communication skills have excellent attention to detail. You will have the ability to work alone but also integrate within a small but critical team and uphold our Branston How-We-Do- Business values and behaviours

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a talented and driven individual to create and manage a framework for the recruitment and development of the best available talent in the market. The company employs over 800 people across 3 sites in the UK and this role will be focused on supporting new and existing employees to develop their fullest potential. The role reports the Group HR Manager.

  • Ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for salaried roles, including Apprentices and Placements

  • Develop and manage a group succession plan
  • Manage the future talent pipeline through links with schools, colleges and universities

Nights Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for two maintenance engineers to join our night shift team, are you looking for your next opportunity to join an enthusiastic team at a forward-thinking business?

The Role

We're looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to help maintain the operational performance of our high-speed production and packing machinery. You'll be responsible for frontline breakdown cover as well as undertaking routine maintenance to maximise production efficiency.

Skills and Experience

You'll need a good level of education with mechanical and electrical based engineering qualifications and experience in a similar role within a FMCG environment.

A working knowledge of process and packaging machinery is needed along with excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills. You will also need a flexible, proactive approach and be able to work effectively in a small team or independently.
