Mint Lane Cafe hosts community photography event

By Mike Thompson, Machine Technician in Branston's Mash Factory

On 23rd September, I was fortunate to take part in the  Feast of Photography event at Mint Lane Café in Lincoln sponsored by Branston,  the event was led by observational photographer Henry Kenyon. The day began with helping to unload and photograph a FareShare delivery, before moving on to unpacking food supplies and visiting the café’s own vegetable garden to capture the fresh produce through the lens.

We then got hands-on in the kitchen, preparing ingredients for a shared lunch while learning to document the process step by step. The session finished with us plating up, serving, and photographing the final dishes before curating a private gallery viewing of everyone’s images.

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet others with a shared passion for photography, gain practical tips from a professional, and celebrate the power of food and community through both cooking and photography.
