Branston supports the Great Lincolnshire Schools Tate Off competition

Calling all budding young Lincolnshire chefs

As a longstanding supporter of the Schools Challenge at the Lincolnshire Show Branston is delighted to be sponsoring a new competition for schools this year.

Despite the cancellation of this year’s Lincolnshire Show the LAS Education team is keen to ensure that schools still have opportunities to take part in activities promoting the importance of food production, farming and a sustainable environment. There are four special competitions this year. You can find out more about them on the Lincolnshire Showground What’s On page.

Always keen to discover new and exciting ways to cook potatoes, Branston is sponsoring The Great Lincolnshire Schools Tate Off.

This competition provides students with the opportunity to engage with local seasonal produce to create a potato-based recipe, developing their culinary and nutritional awareness. We encourage students to be as creative and imaginative as possible – either adding a twist to an existing recipe or inventing one from scratch!

The winning recipes will feature in a special recipe e-book, which will be available as a free download from the Branston’s Seasonal Spuds and Lincolnshire Showground’s website. The winning entry from each category will get the chance to take part in a virtual cooking session with a local chef as well as being awarded special prizes for each member of the team.
