Branston sponsors Project Potato at the Lincolnshire Show
Schools' Challenge is bigger and better than ever
Branston has continued its long-standing support for the Lincolnshire Show, this year by sponsoring Project Potato – one the challenges in the EBP (Education Business Partnership) School’s Challenge.
For this year’s challenge schools not only grew potatoes, they also created exciting new ready prepared products using their potatoes. As well as serving up samples at the show some of schools had even developed distinctive branding and packaging for their product ranges. The teams had enjoyed worked together, covering everything from horticulture to to design and marketing.
Branston’s Seasonal Spuds team attended the show and laid on children’s activities in the Education Zone. From minibeasts in the field and understanding different potato varieties to potato nutrition, there was lots of potato-related learning to be enjoyed. There were also some fun craft activities to take part in.
It was one of the busiest shows so far, with record numbers of schools taking part in the Schools' Challenge and some truly awe-inspiring entries.
