Factory teams go back to school

Outdoor spaces makeover for local primary school

Two small teams from the Branston factory have at been at Potterhanworth Church of England Primary School this week undertaking a number of projects to improve the children’s outdoor spaces. The company has donated materials, including new fencing, decking boards, roofing, ground cover and paint, which the volunteers have used in their Groundforce-style makeover.

Instead of their usual factory jobs, the teams erected new wooden fencing to the front of the playground, repaired and repainted the playhouse and fence for the pre-school area and constructed a new garden area for the pupils.

Vikki Britton, Factory Operations Manager, who organised the project said: “Our teams have really enjoyed getting out into the local community and utilising their DIY skills to make a real difference to the kids’ outdoor environment. It’s been hard work, but very worthwhile.”
