For many of our suppliers, the security of planned movement at a known price (even for just a proportion of their crop) is a great comfort. It gives them the confidence to reinvest in their potato enterprise and takes away much of the risk associated with growing this particular crop. Both parties have the added bonus of knowing when the crop will be marketed and of course growers benefit from better cash management too.
Branston offers a range of contracts around a "mini-maxi" style. Growers can choose which type of contract they prefer depending on the level of security they require.
