Looking after our number one asset

Because our people are committed to working for us, we’re just as committed to giving them the development opportunities they’re looking for.

We spend around £100,000 a year on training and development, supporting our staff through courses on everything from defensive driving training to articulating food tastes, or studying for an MBA or CIMA qualification. We also contribute to a stakeholder pension scheme to help secure the future of every single one of our employees, and are proud of our long-standing Investors in People status.

When it comes to health and safety, we go above and beyond standard workplace guidelines. Managers are trained to the highest nationally recognised standards and all staff receive induction and job specific training.

Along with our health and safety advisors we deliver health and safety toolbox talks for all staff to promote risk awareness throughout the workforce. Our programme of continuous improvement is measured by an annual health and safety audit for each site and a six monthly company-wide session where best practice is shared. This all contributes to making health and safety central to our culture.
