The EPIC Project
Responding to global warming
In October 2007, Branston made its largest-ever single donation of £50,000 to the EPIC Project. This project is about creating a Lincolnshire centre of environmental innovation to explore low carbon technologies and responses to global warming.
At the heart of the Project is the £7m EPIC Centre (Environment, Production, Innovation and Contemplation), which is a showcase for new environmental technologies that lessen the emission of greenhouse gases.
The EPIC centre replaced the old exhibition hall and members’ facilities at the Lincolnshire Showground and contains exhibition halls, offices and function rooms. Environmental responsibility lies at the heart of the project and makes the development unique.
