Building a business for the future
When we first ventured into the prepared foods market it was a steep learning curve to extend the Branston Production System to a very different category.
By closely monitoring all our processes, we were able to identify unnecessary time and cost, so when we decided to expand production we knew exactly what we wanted. Building our own brand new factory from scratch gave us the ideal opportunity to incorporate 'lean' thinking throughout.
We established the key processes and the space we'd need, and designed the factory to accommodate this. With input from our Production and Technical teams we made sure that all the practical details were well thought through, resulting in the most efficient and streamlined facility of its kind.
And of course, as a responsible business we've made sure that the factory is consistent with our strategy of long-term sustainability. We've made environmental concerns a high priority with a view to reducing resource usage and carbon emissions.
