Branston has appointed a new head of category to further support the company’s growth. Penny Francis, who will be based at the company’s Lincoln site, joins Branston from national food producer 2 Sisters, where she worked as a senior category manager working with brands including Aldi and Marks and Spencer.

Penny said: “Branston has an excellent reputation in the industry and it looked like a fantastic place to work. What really attracted me to the company is that it is completely aligned with its business partners whilst always ensuring that consumers come first in the overall business strategy.

“I’m excited by the opportunities that this new role offers, on both a personal and a professional level. Not only is this a growing, innovative and forward-thinking business, I know there is the chance for me to make a real difference with the experience and expertise I have.”

George Christoudias, sales & marketing director at Branston, said: “We are delighted to welcome Penny to the team. Her knowledge of category management - and the food industry - is extensive and I believe she will bring incredible insight and benefit to the business.”
