The Branston Champions of Track and Field lorry design has been immortalized as an addition to the range of model vehicles created by manufacturer, Corgi.
Corgi’s famous models have long captured the imagination of millions. What were once toys for boys are now highly sought-after in the expanding collectables market with some models raising hundreds of pounds at auction.
The Champions of Track and Field joins the Super Haulers range of 1:64 scale toy trucks, with each model having a detachable trailer and an authentic livery of some of the most popular trucks on Britain’s roads.
Branston’s liveries are known for their creative designs, with the company being awarded Livery of the Year at the Motor Transport Awards 2011. Judges praised the designs, saying: “We need more humour just like this in the transport industry!”
Since then, the liveries have continued to see great success and are increasingly familiar across the country’s roads. Their addition to the Corgi Super Hauler range will only cement their place in transport history.
Branston HR & Logistics Director Simon Telfer commented:
“We’re really honoured to be a part of Corgi’s history by having one of our favourite liveries in the range. We have 14 different designs that carry our potatoes and our ‘We Love Potatoes’ message around the UK. They always raise a smile wherever they go and we’re sure that having this one as part of the range will do the same for generations to come.”
