Branston is once again sponsoring the British Potato show - this time as joint main sponsor with Grimme. BP2013 is the dedicated event for the whole of the British potato industry and highlights key issues facing the industry.
Held every two years, the British Potato show draws thousands of visitors from throughout Britain and around the world. They come to get the benefit of this ‘one-stop-shop’ for products and services covering every aspect of potato production, from advances in agronomy and machinery to new marketing and business opportunities.
The Branston stand is number 144, just inside the entrance to Hall 1. Staff from across the company’s three sites will be at the event, including the Seed, Procurement and Field Services teams.
Graeme Beattie, managing director, says: “We’re delighted to be joint sponsors of BP2013 and we’re looking forward to joining our co-sponsors Grimme and all the other major players in the potato industry at this year’s British Potato event.
“Our dedicated growers, across the UK and beyond, are the real cornerstone of our business. We couldn’t do it without them and we’re grateful for their continued support. We’re looking forward to seeing many of them at BP2013 as well as meeting new growers across all sectors.”
This year’s event takes place on 27 and 28 November at the Yorkshire Event Centre on the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. Over 3,000 visitors are expected, from all areas of the potato industry.
