Promoting stronger growth
Fence is a plant growth promoting rhizobacteria, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, designed to improve rooting, germination, nutrient uptake and vigour in potatoes. It reduces the need for pesticides by discouraging other bacteria and fungi from establishing or thriving in the root zone. Easy to apply as a dusting powder, Fence is essentially a biological fertiliser that makes the most of the soil nutrients.
Fence works by outcompeting other bacteria and fungi, releasing growth-stimulating compounds, promoting root vigour and epidermal health and integrity. It is ideal for potatoes, but also effective in other crops. For example, it can be used to protect against rhizoctonia and sclerotinia in carrots.
