Efficient and cost effective
We strive to be the lowest-cost producer in our sector, without compromising quality, and achieving this means starting with modern and efficient facilities.
Over the last three years, we’ve spent £13 million across our four production sites in Lincolnshire, Somerset and Scotland, as well as at our high-care facility, improving and upgrading to make sure our facilities are the best in the industry. Our capital expenditure plan continues with a similar level of planned investment.
But it’s the systems we put in place that ultimately make us efficient. That’s why, back in 2003, we called in leading strategic management consultants McKinsey and Company. As a result, we implemented their lean production model, removing slack and establishing a more efficient, cost-effective way of working. We call it the Branston Production System and it’s what we live and breathe every day, at every one of our sites.
