John Griffin

General Manager, Lincoln Fresh

John has more than 17 years’ experience in the fresh food sector having worked his way up from the factory line, where he first prepared broccoli and cauliflower florets, to operational and management roles. 

He joined Branston as General Manager in October 2016, with responsibility for the day to day operation of all aspects of the fresh potato factory as well as short and long term planning, procurement and quality programmes. Heading up the factory team of 300, he also oversees major capital expenditure projects and strategies to reduce waste and increase productivity.

General Manager, Prepared

Richard has been in the food industry since leaving school in 1998. Starting from the factory floor he has hands-on and management experience in a variety sectors including prepared veg, import/export, fruit, prepared fruit, agriculture (brassicas), coated fish and ready meals.

Richard brought his food manufacturing expertise to potatoes in 2014 when he joined the Branston team as General Manager of the Prepared foods factory. He has helped steer the business towards further growth with strategic investment to increase site capabilities whilst delivering improved quality and efficiency.

Kevin Imrie

Kevin Imrie

General Manager, Scotland

Kevin was brought up on a potato farm and he worked on the farm at weekends, grading potatoes and driving tractors from an early age. He started working for Stokes Bomford Potatoes in 1987 as a tractor/forklift driver, then moved to AR Scott in 1989.

In 1990 he joined the team at the Scotland site, when it was still WCF Potatoes, and by 1999 he had been promoted from Forklift Driver to Team Leader, then Site Manager. He took over as General Manager of the Scotland site in 2015.

Ian Wait

Ian Wait

Operations Director & General Manager, South West

After graduating from Plymouth University with a degree in Food Technology, Ian worked for Gerber Foods for 12 years. He was initially in the Quality team before working his way up to Operations, where he looked after three chilled businesses. He then worked for Dairy Crest for two years before joining Branston in 2005 as General Manager of the South West site.

Ian has overseen many changes since he took over, with major investments and continuous improvement that have been key to the site’s growth and development. In 2016 he joined the Executive Board as Operations Director.
